Rawr. I will only get a PS3 JUST FOR all the versions of Final Fantasy XIII. Versus... Looks insanely cool. And you all know somethin'? Tetsuya Nomura (character design), and Nobuo Uematsu (music director), are the KINGS of Final Fantasy. The VERY LAST ONE they worked on was FFX. FFX is a really good game, I don't care if Tidus was a ditz in the mind and a little air-headed. The storyline is addictive. The release dated back in 2001. It's now 2007. No wonder people thought Final Fantasy was heading downhill. Because Tetsuya and Nobuo ALMOST retired, and haven't worked on another FF game in the series for 6 years now! XI is an MMORPG and got horrible ratings. XII is a good RPG game in itself, but not a good FF game. Too much about politics and not enough about the characters. Tetsuya and Nobuo had nothing to do with XII..
So now for XIII! Tets and Nobu are back, and I'm really expecting a lot of good things to come out of this. That's why I am willing to spend that much on a PS3 just for the games (and future PS3 games to come).
I guess nobody really knew why FF was "going downhill". Tets and Nobu weren't in the picture.
So who missed them? I know I did.
Ditto, 100%. Hahaha, no one can beat the two of them; not even match. They tried to retire then saw that everyone else was giving FF a horrible name. That couldn't be done, though, because Final Fantasy is one of the most popular and most tight-ass series in all of video game history -- best graphics, best characters, best storylines and originality -- everything. Kingdom Hearts is to match because it was made by the makers of Final Fantasy, too. But apparently, no one is learning from it and trying to go about with their own useless crap. No one can best Tesuya and Nomura...
I want to meet them someday, at least before they die. That would be awesome, which is why I'm attempting to get into some sort of gaming industry. The only people I want to be able to meet before they die include manga artists and game developers...
