I've gone through the trouble and whipped together some random races (other than human) for whatever worlds we choose to use in our RPs. I planned on using these in a new Final Fantasy story/RPG I was going to write, but you guys can use them too.
Elemental Diviners – High Summoners/Alchemists capable of controlling and willing elements as they wish. Each and every being has a different type of element which they control; however, the top “diviners” are called “Twigax,” (I fucking hate Star Wars, don't say crap that I got it from Star Wars...) which are able to control each and every element.
Polacions – Controllers and inhabitants of cold extremities, Polacions are skilled ice magicians and warriors. Usually light-skinned and dim in appearance, they are shy but welcoming people. They can withstand any and all negative temperatures, making them useful for cold travel and transportation. They mildly get along with Magnoscions, but they prefer as minimal contact as possible.
Magnoscions – Controllers and inhabitants of heat extremities. Magnoscions are the exact opposite of Polacions, being skilled fire magicians and warriors. They are commonly dark skinned and bright in appearance, and they are outgoing and challenging people, but nonetheless welcome anyone. They can withstand any and all positive temperatures, making them useful for heat travels and transportation. They solemnly get along with Polacions, but prefer to keep away.
Wavekin – Kind and gentle water people. They can’t control water, but they are supremes when it comes to it, in ways of resistance and battle. Able to travel through water like air, they live mostly submerged, but some types of Wavekin can thrive upon land and/or water. They can easily adapt to any environment, as long as the temperatures are average and there is a significant source of water. Without regular contact with it, they could die. They have an appearance of any shade of blue, yellow, or green, and can take on the humanoid appearance of any aquatic beast.
Cloud Chimeras – Opposite of Wavekin, they are the masters of the sky. They willingly and friendly get along with any and all races, being the peaceful and graceful types. They can fly or float through the air as if they were light as a feather; no matter how heavyset they are, although it is extremely rare to find a heavy Chimera. They can take on the appearance of any and all winged beasts or celestial objects, including angels, sephoras, Pegasus’s, dragons, etc. They were originally created by the gods as protectors and overseers.
Cybermancers – Cyber genetic warriors. They are mostly robot people, either fused or created, even though it is possible for them to reproduce by themselves. They take the appearance of any humanoid robotic or electronic device, and rarely, take on their own unique appearance. They aren’t very kind to most races, being boastful and selfish, thus not making them too good of a companion or trustworthy.
Protomancers – A kinder version of the Cybermancers, Protomancers were created to oppose the Cybermancers and keep them under control. They also take on the appearance of anything electronic, but more commonly have a unique, colorful appearance, opposed to the Cybermancer’s dull appearance. They get along with any race relatively well, and are often the best types of companions and side kicks.
Quasimancers – Warriors of the cosmos, Quasimancers are often made as galactic patrol. They are controllers of void and darkness, but even so, are lonesome quiet and subtle people. They are relatively easy-going, but they are some Quasimancers that aren’t always the brightest with anyone. Most commonly dark in color, Quasimancers are powerful warriors of the flux dimensions. They get along best with Astromancers.
Astromancers – Opposing the Quasimancers, Astromancers are users of the stars and planetoids. They are light in color and helpful and kind, and love to assist anyone in need, usually with troubled space travelers or passerby. They are powerful warriors just like the Quasimancers, and would give their life for anyone.
Epsilons – Epsilons are psycho-kinetic people. They can read minds, predict the future, see the past, or read the thoughts and feelings of any being. They can range from any bright or dull color, but most commonly have either white hair and red eyes, or black hair and purple eyes. They are proud people and don’t like to get along with others outside of their own race much, but if it’s necessary, they will. Rarely there will be a nice and helpful Epsilon.
Werevores – Beastly people. Werevores can take on the humanoid appearance of any and all beasts that exist in the known universe, and are usually rowdy and tough to deal with, and sometimes stubborn, but will help when needed. They can be useful in many ways, since different types of Werevore work better in different situations. Their appearance depending on the type of beast they are.
Necrosingers – Most commonly named the “Dead People,” Necrosingers are most often created from the dead, and are sirens that sing songs of death. Any who hear the tunes; will catch some sort of ill fate, whether it is a disease, emotional dysfunction, loss of everything, or most commonly, death. This ability makes them the most feared race in the entire known universe, and is strongly advised by all to keep a great distance from them. They are usually dark and dull in appearance, with rated hair, no eyes, claws, and fangs. Rarely there will be a Necrosinger to befriend, but the only way to avoid heir songs is by covering the ears. The only races not affected by Necrosingers are Cybermancers and Protomancers.
